Application Example
The drill bits were applied to 9-1/2”borehole from Liao River Oil Field with formation of Dongying, Shahe. The lithology is the interbedding of siltstone, sandstone and mudstone belong to soft formation. Two drill bits were used. As for the first one, the drilling well section is 1656m-2780m with footage of 1124m and average penetration rate of 15.2m/h. and for the second one, the drilling well section is 2961m-3180m and 3183.9m-3443m with footage of 478.1m and average penetration rate of 10.1m/h.

This kind of drill bits is applied in Su 10, Su 11 and Tao 7 Block from Sulige gas field with formation of Liujiagou, Shiqianfeng, Shihezi and Shanxi. The lithology is fined mud-siltstone, mudstone and coarse sandstone. In accordance with reflection from usage condition, the footage of single drill bit footage is 700m-932m and the average penetration speed is 10.2m/h-11.5m/h.
