Near Bit Deviation & Azimuth Gamma Downhole Motor

1. Self-rotary near bit azimuth gamma is MWD (Measure While Drilling) tool integrated with downhole motor. During the drilling down in hole, the gamma is always at the status of rotation after the pump is switched on to measure real-time natural gamma ray of up-down direction and then to send back to the ground.

2. Orient’s azimuth gamma does not influence the rate of deviation change for downhole motor. Our instrument is installed inside the downhole motor and has no impact on the rate of deviation change of existing downhole motor.

3. Orient’s near bit azimuth gamma is 0.4-0.5m to the bit and the well deviation section is 0.8-1 m to the bit.

4. It can be taken out from the well pad to put into another downhole motor for continuous use. The instrument installed inside downhole motor is able to be dismantled at site and assembled again without preparing excessive downhole motor at site. Other gamma measuring downhole motor from competitors does not have this function and have to be returned to base for further arrangement.

5. It does not change such parameters of downhole motor as rate of deviation change, displacement capacity, torque, power and pressure difference, and is compatible with other regular downhole motor.

6. With appropriate structure, it enhances safety of bottom hole system and reduces the occurrence of motor fracture accident.

7. It is able to reflect the well deviation situation timely and has great significance on increasing rate of penetration.

Near bit gamma, azimuth gamma can apply to:

1. Development Project of oil gas layer and coal bed methane with unclear formation depth and thickness;
2. Project of oil gas layer and coal bed methane with changeable fluctuant formation or uncertain fluctuant situation.
3. Complex layers, uncertain storage layer or various limits such as unclear storage layer depth of shale gas and prohibition on drilling into formation under storage layer.
4. Development Project with requirements on drilling encountered ratio.
