Introduction
In recent years, the casing well sidetracking technology has been applied in many oil fields for improving recovery ratio and brought prominent economic benefit. However, due to the small size of sidetracking drill pipe, low rigidity of drill pole and weak torsion resistance as well as the influence of high curvature, the load environment of drill pipe is extremely abominable and the incidents on failure of screw thread from drill pipe frequently happens during drilling process, which cause the operation safety. Hence, Orient develops 80 and 89 small drill pipe system for sidetracking of 104 and 118 boreholes.
Features:
1. The small drill pipe applies the design of dwarf yate cone and double shoulder screw thread to increase drill pole strength and improve service life;
The double shoulder screw thread design makes both the main shoulder side and auxiliary one touch at the same time so as to increase the resistance on torsion and bending. Thus it perfects the force condition of screw thread, decrease the stress on the root of screw thread and enhance the safety coefficient and fatigue life.
2. Increase inner and outer annulus, reduce circulation pressure loss, and improve circulation displacement;
The special tooth shape of screw thread and 1:12 cone angle design, the requirement on wall thickness is lowered so as to increase inner and outer annulus, reduce circulation pressure loss, improve circulation displacement and facilitate prop-carrying capacity.
3. Increase the rigidity of drill pole, reduce operation risk and improve bit weight.
S135 is applied to the drill pipe body and 413H alloy steel to joint. The strength and rigidity of drill pole system fulfills the requirements of sidetracking operation and conditions.
