Orient develops a new type of downhole motor with salt resistance rotor. Table 1-11 shows the usage records of WC rotor in the block of Avaz in Iran. We conquer the salt-based mud fluid with high density and saturation in the following aspects.

a. Craft perfection of coating on rotor surface.
b. Improvement on material selection.
c. Proper channel flow design.
